Eclairs & donuts

Very fast and easy to prepare - choux pastry, which is used to make cream puffs and eclairs.

Made these a couple of days ago and instead of chocolate, I used caramel instead for the topping. Not perfect yet as can be seen from the picture below but it will be the next time round. The filling of course was creme patisserie, which Chibi complained was tasteless until he had the whole eclair complete with the caramel.

And today, we made donuts for the kids using our breadmaker to knead and rise the dough.

Here's a not so clear before picture.....

Mille Feuille

Layers of puff pastry and crème patisserie in between with sugar glaze on top, which WeetaBix found a tad too sweet. Next time round will either top it with fresh fruits or lightly dusted with icing sugar.

Tiramisu

One of the easiest desserts to make that requires no baking.

Ratafia biscuits are first soaked in coffee

Then topped with the first layer of cheese followed by a thin layer chocolate powder
