The 4Cs

No, I'm not going to blog about diamonds. It's for a cake I made for our Hari Raya Open House which Sepet aptly named it the 4Cs - chocolate caramel cheesecake

It goes well with crushed pistachios which I sprinkled on top soon after it came out from the oven.

Still contemplating on how much I should sell this for :)

Cranberry cheesecake

I've had the recipe for this cheesecake over a year now but never got round to making it due to the lengthy time it needs to be baked and in a bain marie too.

But having Iftar at BoNita's later gave me a good reason to try it. I modified it a bit by adding dried cranberries to give colour and bite.

ps/ Orders are welcomed :o)

Cookies

Got the idea from a friend who made cookies with M&Ms. The dough is similar to the one I made before with peanut butter and chocolate chips.

This is the batch I made yesterday, crunchier than the previous one.

Italian or English

Tough decision but I would choose both. Dishes I mean :).

A typical meal in the WeetaBiX household is 99% western. Ask me to prepare a Malay dish and everything goes haywire in the kitchen. But thanks to Idaman Suri (which I will blog about some other time), I can come up with amazing dishes without a fuss.

We're approaching week 3 of the fasting month. It has been challenging indeed in terms of what to prepare for the iftar or sungkai. We've had baked fish pie on a bed of english spinach, roast chicken with sage and onion stuffing, chicken pie and many more.

This is the roast chicken served with cauliflower, mushrooms, yorkshire pudding and mash drizzled with gravy.

Grilled teriyaki salmon

I made this just before Puasa. Spaghetti aglio olio with roasted tomatoes. It was yummy!

Roasted cherry tomatoes and roasted garlic which were used in the dish above.
